WHO IS IT FOR?

Microneedling is suitable for anyone with skin concerns such as; pitted acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, skin laxity.

Microneedling can also be suitable for anyone looking to maintain the skins overall appearance. We recommend at least 3 sessions per year to prevent skin aging.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The first step to having a Microneeedling treatment is to first start by having a consultation. If you are a Microneedling candidate then the treatment will start by numbing the skin for 20 minutes. This takes the edge off. Although most people say that it tickles over hurts. Pain differs depending on ones pain tolerance. From here an individual Hyaluronic Acid serum is applied topically to the skin as the fine needles from a disposable needle cartridge penetrate the skin in a controlled depth manner. This essentially micro wounds the skin to force the skin to repair itself. In this process you stimulate a collagen induction response. After the Microneedling process is done a sterile Hyaluronic acid sheet masque from the fridge will be applied to soothe the skin.

Post treatment you will leave red similar to a sunburn. From here the redness will last 2 days, then for 1-2 days the skin will feel like sandpaper. This is sloughing any dead and damaged skin cells off of the skins surface. Some mild swelling may occur. This is normal as the body heals itself.

Multiple sessions are often recommended to see desired results when treating skin concerns. However most people will see a change in the skins overall appearance 1 week post treatment. The results will continue to improve as the skin continues to promote collagen.

Melanogenesis consists of the production of melanin inside melanocytes, with several triggering factors in this process (sun radiation, genetic predisposition, hormonal changes, inflammatory changes...). Once synthesised, the melanin formed is transferred through the melanocyte dendrites to epidermal cells and continues rising to the upper skin layers where it finally gets dark. Excessive accumulation of melanin in the skin surface ultimately results in the formation of visible spots.

c.prof 210 depigmentation solution is a powerful combination of active ingredients with corrective action of pigment disorders and antioxidants. It acts regulating melanin production and removing the melanin present in epidermal cells, responsible for visible pigmentation.
